The Devil: fallen angels

God created the heavenly hosts. Among them were the angels, cherubim and seraphim. We are given few clues about them.

We really do not have a lot of detail about heaven. We know that Lucifer had one of the most important positions, but he rebelled: taking one third of the angels with him.

Here are a few clues:

… to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, (Eph 3:10 NKJ)

This verse implies that the response of those who accepts His forgiveness and lives the new life H gives, (the Church is his body) reveals His multifaceted wisdom to the principalities and powers which exist outside this universe.

We also have Jesus words about Satan:

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (Joh 8:44 NIV)

10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. (Rev 20:10-14 NIV)

This chapter discusses many of these topics: “Which star would you like to feed”, The great White throne, the judgement seat of God,
